🔥 Fire provided warmth.

🌾 Food was grown or gathered.

Today...

💧 Water comes with a bill.

🏠 Land comes with a mortgage or rent.

⚡ Energy comes with monthly payments.

🥖 Food is bought from supermarkets.

Even things that occur naturally often require permission, licences or payment to access.

🤔 QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK

❓ When did the necessities of life become products?

❓ Do we own anything... or are we simply paying to use it?

❓ Has convenience made us dependent?

❓ Could the average family survive without modern systems?

❓ Are we becoming less self sufficient with every generation?

☪️ THE ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE

Allah says:

"It is He who has made the earth manageable for you, so walk among its slopes and eat of His provision."

(Qur'an 67:15)

Everything belongs to Allah.

We are only temporary caretakers.

Wealth, land and resources are all a trust from Him.

📖 WHAT WE DO KNOW

✅ Modern infrastructure has provided cleaner water, better sanitation and longer life expectancy.

✅ Private ownership and public services have changed how resources are accessed.

✅ Convenience has improved many aspects of life.

✅ It has also made many people increasingly dependent on systems they do not control.

Both of these things can be true.

📂 CASE STATUS

Natural resources remain part of Allah's creation.

Modern societies have built systems that charge for access, treatment, transport and ownership of many of those resources.

Whether this represents progress, dependence, or a mixture of both is something worth thinking about.
