🧬 WERE HUMANS CREATED TO LIVE FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS?
⚠️ OPEN CASE
What if living to 70 or 80 years old isn't how humanity began?
Throughout history, many ancient civilisations recorded people living for centuries.
As Muslims, we don't need myths to tell us this.
The Qur'an and authentic Sunnah already tell us that some of mankind lived far longer than we do today.
So what changed?
Let's open the case.
📂 OFFICIAL NARRATIVE
• The average global life expectancy today is around 70 to 80 years.
• Advances in medicine, sanitation and nutrition have helped people live longer than in previous centuries.
• Scientists believe ageing is influenced by genetics, disease, lifestyle and environmental factors.
☪️ THE ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE
Islam confirms that people in the past lived much longer lives than we do today.
Allah says:
"And We certainly sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them a thousand years minus fifty years..."
(Qur'an 29:14)
This means Prophet Nuh (Noah) عليه السلام preached to his people for 950 years.
The Prophet ﷺ also said:
"Allah created Adam sixty cubits tall..."
(Sahih al Bukhari and Sahih Muslim)
He also informed us that after Adam, mankind continued to decrease in size.
The Prophet ﷺ also said:
"The lifespan of my Ummah is generally between sixty and seventy years, and few exceed that."
(Jami' at Tirmidhi, Hasan)
